Today we'll gonna talk about Overwatch mod, cheat, and aimbot. Blizzard has opted to build the lore behind Overwatch away from the game. Barring a small opening cut scene, there is little here to support a complex plot. The main story arc happens outside the game world, told through excellent PIXAR style animated shorts that delve into the heroes featured in the game. Besides these, there are also excellent digital comics that expand the story. It's weird that Blizzard chose to create all this lore and back story only to simply shelve it when it comes to putting it in game. Although, it's a move that's somewhat understandable given the multiplayer nature of the game. It is difficult to develop characters as good or bad in an online arena but it would have been nice to see some lore to make it in the game.
Visually, the game is beautiful and sharp with vibrant environments replete with wide-colour palettes. The character designs are also top notch with each character having some truly beautiful artwork and animation and the stages themselves are excellent, eschewing a weird Lo-Fi Cyberpunk feel that is unique to the game. There also several neat touches that make the game stand out, like definite, visible colour silhouettes on the opposing team, without destroying the aesthetic. Sound design is also praiseworthy with each weapon and ability likened to a particular sound. You also hear you opposing teams sounds clearer than your own which is another nice touch.
Characters in Overwatch are divided into Four Classes: Offense, Defense, Tank and Support. Offensive characters, as the name implies, are the ones that make the primary charge on the frontline and the defense characters provide support against a second tier attack from an opponent. Tanks are walking behemoths that have large pools of health and ammo to support offense or defense and support characters are walking health units that can replenish other units health or boost offensive abilities. This encourages players to pick a team that features all the classes since everyone tends to play off one another.
Currently, there are four modes of play that you can experience. In Assault you have to capture two points on a map in sequence while the other team has to defend them. In Escort, a team has to protect a slow moving payload to its end point within a time limit while the other team tries to stop them. Then there is Assault and Escort which is a combination of the two and the Control, where teams square off for control on singular point in a map.
Is it possible to cheat in Overwatch? Yes indeed cheating is very much possible here: There are aimbots that will automatically aim your guns and skills, shoot them and get you kills automatically. There are also “wallhacks” that allow you to see both enemies and allies through objects and there are some other minor client-side hack that may include minor speedhacks, walking through walls, no spread and no recoil. However, there are no god modes, cooldown hacks, money hacks or level hacks of any kind.
Aimbot software is the most common and most effective kind of cheat in any online shooter and that includes Overwatch, being a competitive team shooter as well. Your average aimbot is able to lock on to targets at the press or holding down of a button or key and will be configurable to automatically shoot targets. Advanced aimbots will take into account the movement of targets to try and lead the target and some will even be able to account for bullet travel time and bullet drop of certain heroes like Phara with her rocket laucher, Torbjorn ect. An aimbot can allow you to deal a lot more damage than usual, but there are downsides to the use of any auto aiming program in Overwatch as well. Kill cams are veery central to Overwatch, since they are what you watch after someone kills you, which makes it incredibly easy to spot aimbots and a lot of cheaters that will get their hands on software like that will get banned pretty much immediately if they are not hiding their cheats adequately.
